Where Are You Going?

Ibn Masoud, one if the great companions of the Prophet, was walking down the street one day and he noticed people walking behind to follow him out of respect.

“Where are you going?!” he turned and asked. “We love you, Ibn Masoud” one answered.

Ibn Masoud said”This only humiliates the follower, and brings the followed arrogance”.

    Salams bro,

Do you happen to know the source of these stories, i.e. book title, author, etc?

I wanted to share these stories but wanted to include the source :)

    Much appreciated Jazakallahu khair

    Salams

  2. ASA,
I appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to read my posts.

Now, regarding your question: These stories are sound stories from the Islamic History. I do not include references because I am only referring to Dr. Omar Abdelkafy’s speeches, articles, TV programs. But these sources are in the Arabic language. The intention of this blog is to provide translation for Dr. Abdelkafy’s work. All hadeeths and stories are referenced from known sources and autobigraphies of major characters in Islam. The point I am trying to make is that Dr. Abdelkafy is a very credible scholar.

Please view the Blog Mission Statement page and the About Dr. Abdelkafy post on this blog.

I will try to add some reference also as I find it accessible in my local Masjid Library.

Thank you and hope to see more posts from you.
